It began with a homebrew kit and a garage in Preston, where a passion for brewing became an obsession with creating fresh, modern, hop-forward beer. It was in the garage, with its roller shutter door, that the phrase “Shutter Up” became part of our story, eventually inspiring the name of our brewery.
Every batch still starts behind that shutter. Small scale, hands-on, obsessive about the details — proper ingredients, no shortcuts, and no mass production. We brew one batch at a time and put our name on every keg that leaves the garage.
That's not just romance, it's freshness you can taste: our beer goes from our tank to your glass in days, not months. From soft, juicy pale ales to bold, flavour-packed IPAs — if we wouldn't drink it ourselves, we don't sell it.
Single-hopped with Simcoe for pine, passionfruit and grapefruit over a crisp, clean base. Sessionable strength with big-IPA character.
CoreA soft, juicy pale with a light haze, bursting with mango, citrus and stone fruit. Smooth and rounded with a gentle bitterness, an easy-drinking crowd-pleaser.
CoreA hazy session pale built on noble hops, double dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with tropical fruit and gentle herbal spice.
